How the EcoVOC™ Concentrator Works

The EcoVOC™ system operates on a continuous adsorption–desorption cycle, using a precision-engineered zeolite rotor divided into three functional zones: Adsorption, Cooling, and Desorption (Regeneration).

Adsorption (Process) Zone

In the adsorption zone, large volumes of process exhaust air containing low VOC concentrations are passed through the rotating zeolite rotor.

The zeolite media selectively adsorbs VOCs and other organic pollutants, allowing cleaned air with significantly reduced VOC content to be safely discharged to the atmosphere. This step dramatically lowers VOC emissions while maintaining stable process airflow.

Cooling Zone

For optimal adsorption efficiency, the zeolite rotor must operate at controlled temperatures.

In the cooling zone, the rotor is cooled to restore and maintain its adsorption capacity. During this process, excess heat is recovered, helping reduce overall regeneration energy demand and improve system efficiency.

Desorption / Regeneration Zone

As the rotor continues to rotate, it enters the regeneration zone where the adsorbed VOCs are released using a controlled hot air stream (typically 180–200°C).
This process:
The concentrated VOC stream can then be treated using thermal oxidisers, catalytic oxidisers, or recovery systems, significantly reducing treatment size and operating costs.
